I’ve been feeling some serious 90s fashion nostalgia lately, particularly focusing on Aaliyah’s vibe. She killed it with the tomboy chic thang like no other before her — or since (though Rihanna has given it the old college try).

Baggy jeans.
Crop top.
Phresh sneakers.
Calvin Kleins.
Snapback.

She was effortlessly cool; an icon.

As the weather finally warms up in New York, I can’t get my sneaker game on point fast enough. For this shoot — in an effort to emulate Aaliyah à la 2015 — I went with my all-time favorite sneaker brand, Supra, paired with H&M black satin pants, a black crop top, and my ol’ faithful leather biker jacket.

And I’ll leave you with this: “Bunch of bad b*tchez with him looking like Aaliyah.”
